Which leads me onto these. Despite the face she’s two weeks off her due date, she’s pretty keen to have my little niece now. I’m pretty keen too, seeing feet stick out the side of her stomach creeps me out far too much. After lots of Googling it seems that spicy foods, pineapple, balsamic vinegar and eggplant are rumoured to kick start labour. These ginger cookies kept showing up too. So we decided to give them a go. However, with my 2 year old nephew in the house you never do anything alone. Stood on a chair next to my mixer, he kept dipping his finger in the mixture saying ‘I try some now’, fully convinced he wouldn’t like it, I let him carry on. Mistake. Turns out a 2 year old can in fact love spicy cookies, cayenne pepper and all. I’d show you some photos of the messy, little fingers interrupted baking, however he insisted in baking naked. Each to their own. He also insisted being naked whilst he “helped auntie Lolly with camera”. Oh he’s just too cute to even consider being annoyed.
